Introducing MTS Axle Carrier Fixtures (ACF)The MTS Axle Carrier Fixture (ACF) System accurately replicates real-world boundary conditions for a variety of vehicle axle/steering assemblies during chassis or suspension evaluation. These include engine/transmission sub frames; suspension components; steering system components; braking system components and roll bar components.
Leveraging unmatched MTS systems integration expertise, turnkey ACF systems are engineered to combine seamlessly with a variety of test systems, including MTS K&C and DK&C deflection measurement systems, Flat-Trac Roadways (Dynamometer, Ride Comfort, Dynamic Ride Comfort and Handling), as well as other providers’ test systems.
ACF systems can be configured for basic integration (mechanical only) or full axle and steering subsystem integration, which can include motion input, specimen instrumentation, independent data collection and incorporation of Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
ACF systems can also be looped into hybrid simulations on one or multiple axles for virtual full vehicle testing/evaluation with only a sub-system of parts. Additionally, an optional human input assembly allows the ACF system to be used for gaining subjective evaluation of the axle and steering assembly components.
